Soups on! So join Chef Heather Artripe in the HKS Kitchen for a comfort-food filled afternoon packed with bowls of delicious goodness. From globally-inspired soups to familiar favorites, youll start with a chef-prepared African peanut stew thats rich with bold, nutty flavors to awaken your taste buds. Then youll get to step up to the table. For the hands-on portion of the class, youll make two hearty soups a fragrant Thai curry butternut squash soup and a familiar classic, cozy chicken and dumplings. For a comforting finish, youll end the class with a special treat from Chef Heather, her Moms hamburger vegetable soup. This class menu is satisfying, flavorful, and perfect for soup lovers of all kinds, so get your tickets today! Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF:
One ofHeather Artripe’s first memories of being a child is dragging a chair across her Granny’s kitchen floor to stand on so she could help her cook. Ten years ago Heather started teaching cooking classes at Ozark Natural Foods and never looked back! She started to become obsessed with cooking and creating, focusing on honest, real, flavorful-all-on-it’s-own food, and local ingredients when at all possible. When she is not cooking for fun, teaching cooking classes, or shooting Rooted in the Ozarks, you can find her in her own little urban homestead growing veggies, fruits, and herbs, canning and pickling, hanging out with her pack of animals, thinking of recipes, talking about recipes, etc. She loves cooking and loves food. And most of all, she loves creating it.
